Costs, payouts and platforms at Lark Funding
Reset policy1-Step Smart Restart Guarantee: free restart (100% discount code) if no single trade setup lost more than 1% and overall drawdown stayed better than -5%; usable up to 3 times per evaluation purchased (4 attempts total).
Read the full ruleShow less

3-Step Surrender Account: 75% discount code, and the bar is tighter - the account may not be down more than 3.5% (70% of available drawdown), no single trade worse than 1%, and all trades must be closed first.

3-Step surrender works in every phase including the funded account, and always sends you back to Phase 1.

1-Step Max: 3 Free Restarts - surrender before a breach while drawdown is within 5% and no symbol lost more than 1% of the balance across its open positions, and you get a 100% discount code for a fresh 1-Step Max, up to three times.

Commissions$7 round-turn per standard lot on FX and metals; $0.02 per share on stock CFDs; crypto, indices and oil are commission-free.
Minimum payout$100 minimum, paid via Riseworks. A flat $40 processing fee is deducted from every payout - including each monthly base reward.
Max capital allocation$200,000 across funded evaluation accounts, $100,000 on Instant. You may buy past $200,000, but the surplus accounts sit on hold until the active allocation frees up.
PlatformsDXTrade, cTrader and Match-Trader (no MT4/MT5). CFDs only - forex, indices, crypto, commodities and 100+ stock CFDs; futures and spot stocks are not supported.

Strengths & watch-outs

What works in your favour, and the quirks, fees, hidden rules and operational catches we found in Lark Funding’s rules and FAQ. Always verify with the firm before purchase.

Strengths

  • +Generous max-drawdown buffer
  • +Static (not trailing) drawdown — equity gains stay banked
  • +No consistency rule — single big winners don't void payouts
  • +EAs/automation officially allowed
  • +High payout split (Up to 90%)

Watch out for

  • !
Trailing drawdown — equity gains can shift the breach line
  • !
November Double Up offer: buy a $10K, $25K, $50K or $100K 1-Step, 1-Step Max or 3-Step evaluation between November 1 and November 22, 2026 (23:59:59 UTC) with code DOUBLELARK, pass it (all three phases on 3-Step) within 30 days of purchase, and you get one free evaluation of the same size.
    Read moreShow less

The bonus is an evaluation with the standard rules, not a funded account. $200K and Instant accounts are excluded. Lark says it has not yet confirmed whether the offer combines with other discount codes, how free restarts affect eligibility, or whether multiple accounts qualify.

  • !
1-Step Max ($99 for $10K up to $599 for $100K) trades a lower price and a 12% static drawdown for a 12% target and a 1% per-symbol loss limit - all open positions on one symbol count together - that is a soft breach during the evaluation (the 3rd one fails it) but a HARD breach the first time once funded.
    Read moreShow less

It pays 80% every 14 days but does not get the Lark Base monthly payment - that stays on 1-Step Career.

  • !
3-Step is priced per platform: DXtrade and Match-Trader are cheaper than cTrader at every size (200K is $700 vs $715). The $750 shown on the marketing page is charged by no checkout path
  • !
The monthly base reward is smaller than it looks: a flat $40 Riseworks processing fee comes off EVERY payment, including the base itself. On a $10k account the $50 base nets $10. The fee only stops mattering at $50k+ ($250 base) and up.
  • !
Lark Base (1-Step only): the firm pays 0.5% of account size every month once funded - $50 at $10k up to $1,000 at $200k - even in a flat month.
    Read moreShow less

Each month you must re-qualify: 3+ profitable days of 0.5% or more, and overall drawdown better than -3.5%. Eligibility is a streak - qualify in month 1, miss month 2, and you are also locked out of month 3. The firm frames it as a B2B data-contractor fee, not a wage.

  • !
$10,000 daily and per-trade gain limit, enforced at 5:00 PM EST.
    Read moreShow less

On a challenge account a single violation forces a restart from Phase 1 (free evaluation issued, no refund); on a funded account the excess trades are voided and three violations breach the account with no payout.

Note what this does to the big sizes: a $200k 1-Step needs $20,000 to pass, so it cannot legally be done in one day.

  • !
A stop loss is mandatory on every trade - place an order without one and the system closes it. It is only a soft breach, so the account survives - unless you buy the 'Stop Loss Not Required' add-on at checkout (10% of the fee, cTrader and Match-Trader only).
Show 17 more watch-outsShow 12 more watch-outsShow less
  • !
Similar trades in the same direction on the same instrument are scored as ONE trade setup even when opened at different times, and their combined risk is summed - closing a trade and re-entering the same direction on the same instrument within 2 minutes also joins that setup.
    Read moreShow less

That matters because the 1% single-trade ceiling is what qualifies you for a free restart and for the Gain Protector.

  • !
Lark Gain Protector: breach the daily drawdown limit and you can still be paid the gains already banked, provided no single loss exceeded 1% of balance and you traded at least 5 days. Request it by email.
  • !
Smart Restart is generous on 1-Step (free, drawdown better than -5%) but noticeably tighter on 3-Step, where Surrender Account only gives a 75% discount code and the account may not be down more than 3.5%.
  • !
Instant drawdown lock: the 8% trailing drawdown freezes at the starting balance once you hit 8% gain or request your first withdrawal - and it never resets after a reward.
    Read moreShow less

Withdrawing all your gains at that point deliberately breaches the account; you still get paid, but it ends there.

  • !
The free $1,000 Instant account from promotions is capped: $100 total withdrawal per account after the split, $50 minimum request - though the $40 Riseworks fee is waived on those accounts.
  • !
Breached funded account? The Lark Funded Reset lets you email for a manual review (72h). If approved you pay 3-5x the original challenge fee to restart at the starting balance.
    Read moreShow less

Approval is discretionary and unlikely if you blew up in one trade or within a week.

  • !
Hedging is fine inside one account, but hedging between two Lark accounts, group hedging, or coordinating opposite positions across prop firms is prohibited.
    Read moreShow less

Copy trading: external accounts may feed exactly ONE Lark evaluation (or multiple funded/Instant accounts); every evaluation must be passed on its own.

  • !
Holding a single-share equity CFD through earnings, a dividend or any corporate action is an immediate HARD breach. Positions must be closed by 3:50 PM ET on the day of the event, or the trading day before if it lands pre-market.
  • !
Add-ons can only be bought before you pass - there is no way to add the 90% split, weekly payouts or weekend holding to an account afterwards. Challenge fees are non-refundable.
  • !
Zero Pause Trading: once a withdrawal is approved (typically under 3 hours) you can keep trading immediately instead of waiting for funds to land. Pass Assist counts floating equity, so hitting target passes you without closing the trade.
  • !
Published risk guidance rather than hard limits: keep overall margin utilisation under 50% on FX and metals, 75% on indices, oils, crypto and stocks, and risk at most 1.5% per trade idea. No lot-size cap - leverage is the only hard constraint.
  • !
Demo/simulated only: Lark Funding Inc. states it provides no brokerage services and carries out no regulated activity; operations run through Lark Dashboards Inc.

How to play Lark Funding

Model-specific observations about their rules and mechanics. Educational only — not trading or investment advice.

Lark Base is the reason to be here, but do the subtraction first: on a funded 1-Step the firm pays 0.5% of account size every month even in a flat month - $50 at $10k up to $1,000 at $200k - and a flat $40 Riseworks fee comes off every single payment.

Read moreShow less

That nets $10/month at $10k and $210 at $50k, so the base only earns its keep at $50k and above. Re-qualify monthly: 3 profitable days of 0.5%+ and drawdown better than -3.5%, and keep the streak alive or you lose the following month too.

3-Step is far cheaper ($280 vs $500 at $50k) and has no daily loss limit at all, but it forgoes the base and its Surrender Account only refunds 75%.

Whatever you pick, respect the $10,000 daily and per-trade gain cap - one breach on a challenge sends you back to Phase 1 - and set a stop loss on every order or the system closes the trade for you (on cTrader or Match-Trader a 10% add-on at checkout lifts that rule).
