Cheapest prop firm challenges 2026.

Price is not the whole story — but when you're running multiple evaluations or testing a new strategy, the entry cost matters. This page ranks every firm in our database by their cheapest available challenge price, using verified pricing from May 2026. Discount codes are included where available.

How to read this table

The price shown is the lowest single challenge fee for that firm — it usually corresponds to the smallest account size. If the firm has an active discount code, it's listed in the final column: apply it at checkout before comparing prices. "Pay Later" and "Pay When Funded" models show the initial deposit only — you may owe more after passing.

Pay-later models: the $5 category

Goat Funded Trader (FIRSTGFT) and Atmos Funded (MAY) both offer $5 entry challenges — but the headline is misleading. These are "Pay Later" and "Pay After Pass" models: the full fee is charged only after you pass the evaluation. The real cost is the same as a standard challenge; you're just deferring payment. Useful for cashflow, not genuinely cheaper.

FundedElite is similar: $5 entry for accounts up to $200k, but an activation fee applies when you pass. Read the fee schedule carefully before entering.

Genuinely cheap: under $35 for a real $5k account

Blue Guardian (BG45) offers $5k Instant Funding from $27. No evaluation phase — you start on funded immediately. The static drawdown is 4%, which is tight, but the lack of a profit target phase removes a major fail point.

FundingPips (FP) is $29 for a $5k 2-step account. The 6% static drawdown and no consistency rule (on standard) make this one of the best-value evaluations available. The 20% code applies sitewide and stacks with seasonal sales.

Finotive Funding (FIRST25) and Hantec Trader (NEW20) both start at $29 for $5k accounts. Hantec is a regulated broker (FCA/ASIC background), which adds credibility for a firm at this price point.

Blueberry Funded (SPLASH45) currently has a summer sale: 45% off Prime Challenges brings a $2,500 account down to $30. Blueberry Funded is backed by Blueberry Markets (regulated broker), so there's a real institution behind the firm.

Best value for size: $5k to $25k range

The5ers (15hg) starts at $19 for a $2,500 Hyper Growth account — the cheapest entry from an established firm with a scaling plan. Their Bootcamp model also lets you skip the evaluation entirely by starting small and scaling up.

QT Funded (BOGO50) offers $5k for $10 with their Pay When Funded model, and the BOGO50 code gives 50% off plus a free same-size account. One of the most aggressive value-per-dollar offers in the current market.

Instant Funding (LEGEND25) starts at $25 for a $625 account — extremely small, but useful for testing an EA or strategy before scaling up. The no evaluation model means there are no daily loss or max loss rules during the evaluation phase.

Are cheap challenges worth it?

The cheapest challenge is not always the best deal. Consider: (1) drawdown type — a trailing drawdown on a $5k account at 4% gives you only $200 of breathing room. A static drawdown at 10% on the same size gives $500. (2) payout split — a $29 challenge at 70% split is worse than a $59 challenge at 90% split if you're profitable. (3) reset cost — if you fail and reset repeatedly, the "cheapest" firm becomes expensive. Look for firms that offer free or discounted resets.
