FundedNext (also written Funded Next) sells 4 CFD (Stellar) plans: Stellar 2-Step, Stellar 1-Step, Stellar Lite and Stellar Instant. Each has its own targets, loss limits and payout cycles. FundedNext rules that catch traders out
Details from FundedNext's rules, checkout and help centre that are easy to miss.
- The funded 3% risk cap is cumulative, not per trade, and it is enforced with money: a first breach brings a formal warning plus 100% of the profit from the violating trades deducted from that cycle reward; a second breach on the same account deducts that profit again and permanently reclassifies the account to a 1% cumulative risk limit. Violations follow the account through a merge — the stricter parameter wins.
- Challenge fee refund timing differs by product: with the 1st reward on Stellar 2-Step, but only at the 3rd reward on Stellar 1-Step and Stellar Lite.
- Stellar 1-Step costs about 8-10% more than 2-Step at $6K-$50K ($329.99 vs $299.99 on 50K), about 4% more at $100K and the same at $200K ($1,099.99), and it refunds the fee later (with the 3rd reward instead of the 1st).
- Stellar Instant tops out at an 80% reward share, not the 95% the Stellar evaluation products reach.
- Leverage depends on the plan and the stage: gold and other commodities get 1:25 in the 2-Step and Lite challenge (1:15 funded), 1:15 in the 1-Step challenge (1:10 funded) and 1:7.5 on Instant, per FundedNext's General Rules. The Stellar product pages print lower figures (e.g. Forex 1:30 on 2-Step), so check your dashboard before sizing gold.
- EAs are only allowed on CFD account sizes below $50,000: on the $50K, $100K and $200K Stellar accounts you must trade fully manually in both the challenge and the funded account, the EA add-on cannot even be bought, and tools that only move SL/TP or size lots count as EAs. On the smaller sizes EA access is a paid, non-refundable add-on, works on MT4/MT5 only (never cTrader or Match-Trader), you cannot switch between EA and manual trading between the challenge and the funded account, and each EA strategy is capped at $300K allocation.
- Funded news trading is allowed, but only 40% of the profit made in the news window counts toward your reward.
- FundedNext runs a genuinely free CFD Free Trial account that costs nothing and is easy to miss — the buy widget only surfaces it as a small secondary "Free Trial" CTA. Firm's own rules (help centre, updated 8 Apr 2026): 1-step, 5% profit target, 5% daily loss, 10% max loss, minimum 3 trading days inside a 14-day window that starts at your first trade, balances $6,000-$200,000, swap accounts at 1:100 forex / 1:40 commodities, weekend holding allowed, no reset. One active trial per email+IP, but you may request another once it is disabled, so trials are effectively unlimited. It runs on MT5 for clients outside the US; U.S. clients get the Free Trial on Match-Trader only. No EAs, and at most 30 open positions.
- FundedNext runs short 'Labs' experiments at fundednext.com/labs that open, sell out and close — and can come back or graduate. On 17 October 2026 FNL:002 (a 2-Step 25K CFD challenge with a 12% max loss, 4% daily loss limit, 85% reward share and at most 5 rewards) is marked Available again and is sold in the homepage buy widget at $149.99, while FNL:001 (the $50K 1-Step CFD account without a daily loss limit) and FNL:003 are marked Expired. FNL:003, the $50K no-challenge futures account sold for $149.99 in Labs, graduated into the permanent Direct account on 7 October at $283.99 list. Treat any Labs headline as 'maybe already closed' until you see it live on fundednext.com/labs.
- Quick Strike (all Stellar accounts): the share of a cycle's profit that comes from winning trades closed within 30 seconds. At 20% you get a warning; at 30% or more challenge progress is put on hold until it drops below 30%, and on funded and Instant accounts that profit is deducted from the reward — a repeat breach closes the account.
- Every trade needs a stop-loss: a trade without one is treated as risking 100% of the balance in FundedNext's risk checks.
- The CFD Challenge Terms (9.8) set a USD 25,000 contractual penalty for each prohibited-trading breach, which the firm may deduct from rewards and refunds.
- Hedging is allowed inside one account only — never across FundedNext accounts (even your own) or against an external broker, and a single trade that risks the full daily loss limit may be reviewed as hidden hedging.
- Copy trading is allowed only between your own Stellar 1-Step, 2-Step or Lite challenge accounts, or between your own Instant accounts — never with a funded account on either side, never with other people and never through copier services.
- Hyperactivity cap: 200 trades or 2,000 server messages in a day counts as hyperactive; two warnings (counted across all your accounts), and the third occurrence breaches the account.
- Profits made consistently in the 00:00-02:00 server-time settlement window can be reviewed, voided or end the account.
- Same-strategy rule: you may not pass with one asset class or risk level and then switch markets or sharply raise margin or risk on the funded account.
- Allocation caps: $300,000 in funded CFD accounts in total ($200,000 on Lite), $20,000 of active Stellar Instant allocation (no merging), and $50,000 for traders in Cambodia, Mongolia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Taiwan, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Pakistan.
- KYC must be completed within 30 days of passing, or the passed challenge account is deactivated.
- Inactivity: FundedNext's General Rules deactivate a CFD account after 60 days without a trade, while a help article still says 30 - trade at least monthly to be safe.
- 2-Step and Lite payout option is chosen at checkout and fixed: Standard 80%, 3-Day 60% (3 profitable days of 1%+ per cycle) or On-Demand 90% (2% growth and a 40% consistency rule); the Lifetime 95% add-on replaces all three.

Are EAs and trading bots allowed at FundedNext?
EAs and trading bots are allowed only on account sizes below $50,000, only on MT4/MT5, and only with the paid EA add-on (or VPS & EA add-on); that fee is non-refundable and is excluded from the refundable challenge fee. On $50K, $100K and $200K accounts you must trade fully manually in both the challenge and the funded account, the add-on cannot be bought, and even tools that only adjust SL, TP or lot size count as EAs (the firm's product pages word the under-$50K allowance as 'EAs and custom indicators'). No EAs or automated trading on cTrader or Match-Trader at any size, so U.S. traders (Match-Trader only) cannot use EAs. Stellar Instant tops out at $20K, so every Instant size can take the EA add-on. EAs must be customised to your own strategy, may not place identical trades across accounts, are capped at $300,000 allocation per strategy, may not use Telegram/WhatsApp integrations, may not be challenge-passing EAs, and you may not switch between EA and manual trading between the challenge and the funded account.
What is the FundedNext max risk rule?
Max risk rule at FundedNext: 3% of the initial balance in total at any one time — cumulative across all open trades, not 3% per trade. Entries split into several orders inside the same trade idea count as one position. Applies to the funded FundedNext Account (and Stellar Instant), not to the challenge phases.
Does FundedNext have a margin rule?
Margin rule at FundedNext: no fixed limit in the plan rules, but FundedNext's General Rules treat margin use of 70% or more (cumulative) as prohibited gambling-style trading, and the Instant terms prohibit high margin use; the help centre suggests staying at 20-30%.
Does FundedNext refund the challenge fee?
Challenge fee refund at FundedNext: challenge fee refunded with the 1st reward on Stellar 2-Step, but only at the 3rd reward on Stellar 1-Step and Stellar Lite (firm's own rules table).
Is there a FundedNext discount code?
Yes. PFDEALS is PropfirmDeals' own FundedNext code: 30% off CFD challenges + 120% refundable fee reward; 10% off Futures. FundedNext's own code for these plans: STRTN — up to 33% off the smallest size of each Stellar challenge: 2-Step $6K, 1-Step $6K, Lite $5K and Instant $2K. Use whichever takes the most off. Enter the code in the coupon field at checkout and check that the total drops before you pay.
