Prop firm payout rules compared
Profit split, payout frequency, first-payout timing, minimum payout and payout methods for 52 prop firms, side by side, plus a calculator that shows what a split, a fee and a consistency rule do to one payout. Every figure comes from our firm dataset; where a firm publishes nothing we say so.

Educational, not financial advice. Prop firm challenges cost money, and most traders who buy one never pass or never receive a payout. The calculator below is arithmetic on the numbers you enter, not a forecast; any result depends on your trading edge and on each firm's current terms.
Payout calculator: split, fees and consistency
Enter one payout cycle. The calculator shows what the profit split leaves you, what fees take off, whether your best day fits a consistency cap (modelled as best day ÷ total profit, the most common form), and how much more profit the cap requires if it does not.
Assumptions: fees are charged on your share; the extra profit a failed consistency check needs assumes no new day beats your current best day. Some firms measure consistency against the profit target, by trade, or per payout window instead; use their definition when it differs.
Payout rules by firm (52 firms)
Firms we have an affiliate agreement with are listed first, then the rest by our editorial tier and Trustpilot rating. Values are the firm's own recorded wording from our dataset (last refreshed 2026-09-29); where a firm runs several programs, the program is named in front of its value.

"Not published" means our dataset holds no firm-published figure for that field, not that the firm has no rule. Payout methods come from our country-access research and can differ by country; where only one program lists its methods, that program is named. Always confirm current payout terms on the firm's official site before buying.
How splits, payout cycles and consistency rules interact
The split sets how much
Your payout is profit multiplied by the split. On $4,000 of profit an 80% split pays $3,200 and a 90% split pays $3,600, a $400 difference on that one payout. "Up to" figures are the top of a ladder that is often reached through a paid add-on, a scaling plan or a particular payout option, so compare base splits first and treat the upgrade as a separate purchase.
The cycle sets when
A 7-day and a 14-day cycle on the same profit pay the same total; the shorter cycle only gets the money out sooner. That still matters: profit that has not been withdrawn can be lost to a drawdown breach, so a shorter wait means less profit exposed. Faster options can come with conditions of their own, such as a minimum profit, a number of profitable days, a buffer that must stay in the account, or a cap per request, which is why the table shows the first-payout and minimum columns beside the cycle.
The consistency rule sets whether
A consistency rule caps the share of total profit that may come from your best day. The required total is your best day divided by the cap. With a 40% cap, a $1,000 best day needs at least $2,500 of total profit; if the cycle stands at $2,000, you need $500 more from days no bigger than your best. A 20% cap turns the same $1,000 day into a $5,000 requirement. One big day can therefore delay a payout rather than speed it up. Rules differ by firm and by stage, so check whether yours applies to the evaluation, to the funded account, or to both.
A simple checking order
Before buying, read the base split, the first-payout timing, the cycle, the minimum and any payout fee, then the funded-stage consistency rule, and finally which payout methods work in your country. A higher split you rarely collect is worth less than a lower split you can actually withdraw. None of this creates an edge: a challenge is a cost, and whether any payout arrives depends on how you trade.
Frequently asked questions
How often do prop firms pay out?
It depends on the firm and on the program you buy, so compare the exact program rather than the firm. Among the 52 firms in the table above, 29 mention a bi-weekly (14-day) cycle on at least one program and 24 mention on-demand payout requests on at least one program. A shorter cycle gets money out sooner, but it does not change how much you earn; the amount is still your profit multiplied by the profit split.
What does an "up to 90%" profit split mean?
It is the top of the range, not what every trader gets. The higher figure is often reached through a paid add-on, a scaling plan or a specific payout option, so look for the base split: where our dataset records the firm's detailed wording, the table shows it under the headline figure; otherwise check the firm's terms. Your payout is profit multiplied by the split: $4,000 of profit at 80% is $3,200, at 90% it is $3,600.
How does a consistency rule affect my payout?
A consistency rule caps how much of your total profit may come from your best day. The total profit you need is your best day divided by the cap. With a 40% cap and a $1,000 best day you need at least $2,500 of profit before you can request a payout. Some firms apply the rule only in the evaluation, some only on the funded account, and some measure it differently, so check the firm's own definition.
What is a minimum payout?
It is the smallest amount a firm lets you request. If your share is below it, you wait and keep trading until the next eligible window. Some firms also charge a processing fee on each payout, which lowers what reaches you; the calculator above lets you include one.
Are prop firm payouts guaranteed?
No. Challenges cost money, most traders who buy one never pass or never reach a payout, and a firm can refuse a payout when it finds a rule breach. Funded accounts are usually simulated, and whether you get paid depends on having a real trading edge and following each firm's current terms.
Why does the table say "Not published"?
It means our dataset holds no firm-published figure for that field. It does not mean the firm has no rule. Open the firm page or the firm's own help centre and confirm the payout terms before you buy.
